Raving Beauty: Dark Sparkle Blue In Peru Makeup Tutorial

Are you ready for some crazy brights? Wow! I am and let me tell Raving Beauty Cosmetics sent me some shadows that I have got to share with you all. I just recently receive a grouping of shadows and earrings to review and all I have to say is wow! I have been sleeping on these colors for too long. The shades I received are: Spring Light Blue, Dark Blue Sparkle, Dark Night & Peru.

As you can see from the photos the eye shadows are nicely pigmented with it beautiful satin finish. According to Raving Beauty Cosmetics the following shadows have the following characteristics:

  • SPRING LIGHT BLUE: Medium blue with a pearl sheen is tinged with a hint of green, resulting in a tranquil, cool and carefree pastel. Ingredient: Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Ultramarine Blue, Hydrated Chromium Oxide Green.
  • DARK BLUE SPARKLE: Lustrous, super-saturated blue with a low sheen. This medium-deep blue has a wonderfully mature, sophisticated, appearance. Ingredients: Mica, titanium dioxide, ferric ferrocyanide, tin oxide.
  • DARK KNIGHT:  This sparkly, translucent grey with a deep due undertone recalls the sky as it crawls into a stormy night. Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, baron nitride.
  • PERU: A profound and classic shimmery purple color. Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Dioxide, Iron Oxide

These colors are so amazing that I had to break out my makeup brushes and create a colorful tutorial! If you love the shadows you can find them at http://ravingbeautycosmetics.ecrater.com. Each shadow sells for only $5.00 each. Each 5 gram jar is filled with 1tsp of product. She also sell sample bags too for a $1.50 and each bag is filled with ¼ teaspoon of product.

But before I get to that I also had to share with you a pair of earrings that the owner of Raving Beauty Cosmetics sent to me. Yes, that is right they are now carrying a fun and fashionable line of jewelry from big fashion right to beautiful bangles, bracelets and necklaces. The earrings I have are the E-1-B EARRINGS LEAVES METAL & ACRYLIC RESIN METALIC BLUE & BLACK retailing at $4.00 each. I am amazed with the quality of the earrings for they are sturdy and of course look fabulous!!

Anyway you have got to check these out and you know I am going to be adding some more accessories to my collection. Now to the tutorial!! Yessss!

Raving Beauty Cosmetics: Valentine’s Day Haul With Swatches

Valentine's day is right around the corner and my creative brain was already thinking of some fun eye shadow tutorials that you could wear on that special day with you special someone. You all know that I am sponsored by Raving Beauty Cosmetics, which is one of my favorite affordable mineral eye shadow cosmetics company online and every month I get a chance to review some fun products that I truly stand behind. For my selection for January I decided to pick out the most beautiful shades that would be perfect for Valentine's day and beyond!

According to Raving Beauty Cosmetics the shades of the following characteristics:

  • Light Pink: Is a very soft pale pink shade with a medium sheen. When you rub is against your skin, it blooms with a purplish pink iridescent glow. Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide, and Carmine. If you are allergic to carmine you may want to pass on this one. My thoughts this shadow packs a lot of color when using the wet dry brush or a shader brush. I thought is was going to be a sheer shadow, but packed on a lot of color.
  • Sugar Berry: A violet shade of pink. Ingredients: Ultramarines. As you can see in this photo sugar berry is very pigmented for sure. I love the intensity of this matte shadow.
  • Smoked Amethyst: A subdued, blackened purple with after sheens of a bright fuchsia pink. Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Carmine and Iron Oxide. (If you are allergic to carmine you may want to pass this one buy. Smoked amethyst I had to layer to get the intensity you see in this photo. Overall it is a beautiful shimmery shadow.
  • Divine Wine: Has a blue burgundy, maroon hue. Ingredients: Iron Oxide. This shade is matte and perfect for the crease color or a smoky eye look as well.

I also received a wet dry shadow brush from Raving beauty cosmetics. This brush gives you the ability to great a foiled look on the eye lid. I felt it resembled a shader brush because this brush made it easy to pack on a lot of color and for the price of $7.25 is it an awesome brush to use if you do not want to spend a lot of money on makeup brushes and not sacrifice quality.

According To Raving Beauty Cosmetics The WET – DRY EYE SHADOW FOILING BRUSH is made of:

  • Made with Goat Hair
  • Measurements:
  • Overall length: 5 inches
  • Bristle length: 3/8 inches
  • Bristle width: 3/8 inches
  • Made with the finest natural hair bristles.
  • Handles are made with eco-friendly, sustainable; Birch handles w/alloy ferrules.

Overall, I had a great time playing with them and decided to create two looks with the shadows received. Which one would you like to be the next tutorial I create for youtube? It is your time to choose! Leave a moment below on which look you would like for me to create for my Valentine's day tutorial. Look #1 or Look #2

I can't wait to see what you all chose. Hopefully my voice will be back so that I can film this video before Valentine's Day. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Shades Of Autumn: Smokey Greens Eye tutorial

It is time to say goodbye to summer and hello fall. I can not believe how fast the summer came and went. How about you? Even though summer is over I am glad the fall is here because that is one of my favorite time of the year because the earth begins to transform into a very beautiful spectrum of colors. With that said, comes my inspiration from all of the transforms leaves from our beautiful trees. As I stroll around walking or playing outside with my son I see so many pretty shades of greens, yellows, brown and reds everywhere, hence inspiration for eye makeup.

Recently, I was sent a beautiful spectrum of eyeshadows from Raving Beauty Cosmetics. The colors are sent are prefect for this time of year. The colors I received are as follows:

The Organic Field is a shimmer that is transparent, so if you are looking for a very intense color you will have to use it wet or apply an eyeshadow base like MAC's paint pot or and NYX jumbo pencil in order to intensify the color a bit. In addition to Organic field the Minted Lemon will have the similar feature. Now the Dark Truffle eye shadow is a matte that is very pigmented and does not require a base, however I would still recommend a primer. All of the shadows go on very smooth and non irritating to the eye. So, with that said, I decided to create a wearable smokey eye look inspired by the changes of the season.

The products used in this tutorial:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer (sephora)
  • MAC Paint Pot: Underground (nordstrom)
  • Raving Beauty Cosmetics: Organic Field, Minted Lemon & Dark Truffle eye shadows (raving beauty cosmetics)

Makeup Review: Raving Beauty Cosmetics Shadows & Brushes

New shadow shades are in and have been tested for good quality before sharing with all of my beauty chameleons out there! Earlier this month Raving Beauty Cosmetics sent me some beautiful shades of shadows to test out and review. In addition to the shadows the owner of Raving Beauty Cosmetics was so nice to send some vegan friendly brushes for me to review for you all as well. You all know me I love my Sephora, MAC, NARS and Sigma brushes, but a lot of my subscribers requested that I show and review brushes that are less expensive for people just starting out in makeup, so as a result I was able to come through with some awesome brush to share with you too!

Raving Beauty Cosmetics Eye Shadows I received are:

Black Sapphire, Sweet Juliet, Mystic Fairy and Venus Teal

Each shadows are in a 5 gram jar filled with a teaspoon measurement of shadow for $5.oo each. All can be found at RavingBeautyCosmetics.ecrater.com . The shadows I received are not as pigmented like the ones I received last month which is great because a lot of my viewers are afraid of pigmented shadows and i feel that these shadows are perfect for those just breaking into color for the first time!! I totally enjoyed creating this look with the shadows!

The Look:

If you like this look the tutorial will be coming soon in another post here and on my youtube channel Nhop76.

The brushes I received are pretty good for those that are just breaking into makeup and don’t want to spend too much money getting started. The brushes are also great for those that have sensitive skin too. Brushes? Well, the brushes I received from Raving Beauty Cosmetics are apart of her Vegan line of makeup brushes. All of the brushes are made from 100% synthetic Bristles and Vegan approved. They are also made with eco friendly brich handles with alloy ferrules. The brushes I received are:

The Vegan Foundation Brush, Blush Brush and Powder Brushes

All of the brushes are soft to the touch on the skin and has little or no shedding at all which is awesome!  Keep in mind I have been using them for a month and during that time they have been washed and used constantly to make sure the quality is up to par. The Vegan Brushes are priced at $9.95 and can also be found at RavingbeautyCosmetics as well. For a full review please watch my review video listed below.

For more information check out my review on the shadows and brushes below.
