P90X Round 2: Week 1 & 5 Pounds Gone!

Hey you all, like is said in my last video, Tasha is going for another round of P90X!! Round 2!! Last week began round 2 with a new meal plan and new goals to achieve as well. In round 2 I could shed off more weight and return back to my healthy weight of 168 pounds!! Last week began round 2 and my hubby is going along for the ride too! It is nice to have a workout buddy. Having a buddy to workout with makes me workout harder, because I am so darn competitive at times, lol. And, it also helps me keep in track of my form through out each workout. At the beginning of the 2nd round my weight began at 188 pounds. When I weighed in on Saturday my weight was:

  • 183 pounds!! Lost 5 pounds this week!!!

Now I know for sure that I will not continue to lose weight like this every week, but it was awesome to have that jump start with exercising and the new meal plan too! I am so geeked and excited to be into week 2 again! For more details of how this week went check out my video below for more details!

Fitness With P90X: Week 12 & 13 (90 Days Complete!)

Hey all, I totally forgot to update you all on my final stats with the P90X program. Check out this video for my results and stay tuned because it is not over yet! Last week I started round 2 of P90X and it is on like popcorn, lol 🙂

Fitness With P90X: Life Hits Ya and Ya Get Sick. . .

Hey all I am getting to the end of week 8 results and it will be time for my weekly weigh in and results that will be done on Saturday or Sunday. This week life surely got in my way which affected my workouts and eating this week. Over the weekend my hubby and son was sick with either allergies or sinus infections and I was praying please don’t let me get sick, please! Well. . . Sunday came and I started to get sniffles and I was like Damn! I better not get sick. I was able to do the following workouts which was:

  • Saturday: Cardio Intervals (which can be found on the bonus DVD) I placed that workout instead of doing YogaX.
  • Sunday: I did Core Synergistics (However I only made it through 40 minutes. . . I was starting to feel it then
  • Monday: I did KenpoX the entire workout

Tuesday came and I felt it. I was sick with a small fever and sinus congestion. I was so mad because I hate to get sick.  It just throws my whole week and workout goals out of whack! I hate to lose my momentum with me leaning down. I really want to see awesome results this week, but I have to listen to my body and rest. All in all, I missed my Wednesday and Thursday workout! I guess I will not beat myself up life happeneds, right? So with that said I will continue with the remainder of the workouts and not do my results until Sunday morning and move on to week 9.

I decided to skip out on the Stretch X DVD and instead complete the cardioX. I felt like sweating and burning some calories and I did!! Today I was so excited because I was able to do 5 Dreya Rolls in a row!! Yahooooooooooooooooooooo!! I could never do that! Tomorrow I is supposed to be yogaX day, but. . . I really don’t like this workout. It’s too long and slow paced for me. Does anyone else feel that way? I almost want to replace that workout as a whole, but I guess I shouldn’t. I get the fact that it’s makes you stronger and more flexible, but dang! 1 hour and 30 minutes!! I will have to do that workout right when I get home from work tomorrow otherwise it will not get done at all. So, that is what I plan to do.

Well, anyway, it is time for me to hit the showers and get ready for work. Stay tuned my get fit beauties I will have my results and video up this Sunday!!

Fitness With P90X: Week 6 & 7 Results

I was just thinking to myself that time has went by fast with my journey with my weight loss and getting fit with the P90X program!! I can’t believe how far I have come and how much stronger I am know and how much stronger and lighter I will be at the end of this journey, continuing in the future. I totally lost track of time and can’t believe that I did not share with my blog readers my results for week 6. I did make a post on my youtube channel, but not here. So definitely watch week 6 video before skipping to watch week 7’s video, lol.

Week 6 Vlog:


My Stats:

  • Jan 8th: Start weight: 198lbs
  • Jan 15th: 198lbs (no gain/lose)
  • Jan 22nd: 196 (-2lbs) Yeah!! A loss and I will take it!
  • Jan 29th: 196 (no gain/lose) But I lost inches!!
  • February 5: 195 (-1lbs) totaling 3 pound for the fist 4 weeks!
  • February 13th: 194 (-1lbs) totaling 4 pounds in 5 weeks!
  • February  20th: 192 (-2lbs) totaling 6 pounds in 6 weeks
  • February 27th: 190.5 (-1.5lbs) totaling 7.5 pounds in 7 weeks!! Getting excited for the next coming weeks!!

Week 7 was okay minus a few challenges that I will explain in the video. How I made it through it and felt accomplished! I am feeling lighter in each step I take and when I have hard days I just think about the quote Tony Horton says which is “Do your best and forget the rest”. This just makes me keep going and my me try harder and make goals to get better.

All and all I am happy with my progress and feeling wonderful. To everyone that is getting fit keep strong and keep going!

Fitness With P90X: Day 23 (Core Synergistics & Diet Re-Evaluation)

Hello my fitness chameleons! How are you all doing today? I hope well and ready to focus on getting in the best shape of your lives this new year. Well, today I had to do something thinking and re-evaluating of my current diet with P90X. A lovely subscriber to my youtube channel, name figuremom pointed out some interesting thoughts on my current diet with P90X. First, of all I thought my low fat diet would work well with this program, but after 3 weeks on it I am starting to wonder maybe not. Figuremom took a look at my diet and as it stands right now I am not intaking enough protein for this type of program. I kind of knew that could be part of my problem. The workouts I did while I was on nutrisystem was not as intense as P90X so the meal plan worked fine with that. But with the P90X program my body will need much more protein in order to maintain the workouts and to burn more fat efficiently. So, hence a trip to the grocery store for me. Before I talk  more I just wanted to thank Figuremom so much for taking the time to check out my diet. I totally appreciate it so much and I am excited to see how the changes effect me. Thank you , Thank you 🙂

Before I went to the grocery store I re-read the the nutrition plan book and made up a list of things I did not have and went on a healthy food haul, lol. I am so used to saying makeup haul, lol 🙂 Anyway, the things I purchased was:

I already had my fridge stocked full of fruits, veggies and meats, but I needed a few more things. So I gathered some things I hope to find to be a key to my success:

  • Some special K  protein bars for my snack. I am still looking for a recovery drink, so if you have any suggestions let me know?
  • Picked up my favorite Muscle Milk protein drink in vanilla creme
  • Bob’s Red Barn Mill Soy protein powder
  • Bulk of brown wild rice, couscous and soy nuts (I found these at H-E-B, wow!!)
  • Cottage cheese and string cheese
  • More chicken I was running low. I also will eat pork tenderloins, fish, and lean beef too!

This week will only use lean cuisines only if I was unable to prepare something, but I will make sure that is at a minimum. I think cooking the meal yourself will give you the control of knowing what is going into your meals.

My meal plan today: (My last meal plan the old way)

  • breakfast: Special K cereal and blackberries and water
  • Snack: Special K cereal bar
  • Lunch: Protein Shake and banana, water
  • Snack: Soy nuts (I had to try them, lol. Not bad), water
  • Dinner: Pork tenderloins, sweet potato, green beans and water

Fitness With P90X: Day 22 (YogaX) Crane Pose, I did it!!

Holy Cow!! I discovered that I am a bit stronger in Week 4 of the p90x program!! Yesterday was the beginning of week 4 and the first workout was. . . YogaX. You all know that I have a love hate relationship with this DVD, right? Anyway, I popped it in and I was able to make it through all of the vinyasas, running poses and warriors poses, yey!! I was also able to do this time around the crane pose with the assistance of my pillow so that I would not crash face down to the grown, lol. You are probably wondering if you are not on the series what is the crane pose? Here is a picture and you will now see my challenge:

Phew!! I feel accomplished after doing that one. I am still laughing. Hahaahah. Anyway, the fun this about this workout is that my hubby joined me for a little while which was so nice and hopefully he will do it again. So, my point is keep trying the yoga if my 196lb self can do it, so can you!! All on all yesterday was great! I even made a new dinner that goes with the guidelines of the p90x. It was so good, and I forgot to take a picture, however, it will be leftovers for today so I will take a picture for you all on Day 23.

This week, I am really taking a deep look into my meal plan and tweaking it a bit so that I can be successful again this week.

My Meal Plan Yesterday:

  • Breakfast: Eggs, grapes and water
  • Lunch: Turkey sandwich, grapes and water
  • Snach: String Cheese, orange and water
  • Dinner: Pork tendeloins, asparagus, 1 and 1/2 serving of sweet potatoe and water
  • Snack: protein bar

Fitness With P90X: Day 20 (KenpoX Day)

Phew!! I just finished my KenpoX workout from the P90X program. I swear today’s workout seemed to be a bit tougher than the past week. I swear I wanted to press the stopped button on my DVD play so many times, but I kept telling myself I can do it, I can do it!! And. . . I did!! Anyway, at first I was like why does it seem that way? So, after talking to my hubby he mention that last week you took more breaks during the workouts than this week which means that  I was working out much harder with less breaks. So, I was like Oh. . . yeah! That explain the buckets of sweat dripping off my body, lol. So, I am getting my endurance back!! Love it!

Today Is marking the end of week 3 and tomorrow is my rest day or stretch day that I am looking forward too! I also will be marking my results too tomorrow, so stayed tuned. I can already say my size 14’s are fitting a bit looser now which is GREAT!!! I was not about to move into a size 16, no way!! So needless to say I am looking forward to week 4 which will mark a month on the P90X!!

My meal plan today:

  • Breakfast: Oatmeal and fruit and water
  • Snack: Almonds, string cheese and water with engery mix
  • Lunch: Dessert Lean Protein shake with banana and water
  • Snack: grapes and almonds
  • Dinner: Left over Chicken Vegetable couscous and fruit and water

Well, I better go and hit the showers! I just would like to wish you all the best week ever in whatever routine that you are doing to get back into shape!
