Makeup Haul: NYX Cosmetics & Max Factor

Hey everyone! If you didn’t know already NYX cosmetics had an awesome sale online 50% off NYX cosmetics which was a great deal! I didn’t quite shop online through. . . I am such an instant gratification girl where I want to try products in person and if I like it I buy, right? hee hee Anyway, instead of shopping online I went to my local Ulta store! They also sell NYX too and they had buy 2 get 2 free sale which is basically the same thing so I was like, lets shop!!

I really did not need any more eyeshadow, I am not kidding I have plenty of shadows! However, I was lacking in the lip department. I needed more colors like pinks, corals, and browns lipsticks and glosses. So, I totally took advantage of the sale and stock up on lip colors and I also purchased a few more jumbo eyeshadow pencils too.

I have to say I love the pigmentation on NYX’s lipsticks. They are nice, creamy and smooth on the lips which was a plus in my eyes. I also loved the smell of NYX’s lip glosses too. The smell reminds of cherry kool-aid drink, just yummy and sweet! Another great thing I love about NYX cosmetics is the price point of the products! Overall, I am so happy with the sale items I purchased and would reccommend anyone to try and use this cosmetic brand for sure. I swear some of the lip colors remind me of some of Sephora’s private label products, but for only half the price. Stay tuned, I will have a video up some of the review of this haul too.

MAC Cosmetics Sugar Sweet Collection Review

Wow! I can’t believe I waited this long to go and check out MAC Cosmetics’ Sugar Sweet Collection. I received the e-mail about the collection back on March 16th and today is March 26th? What’s with that? The collection looked too yummy to not check it out, so I did. Today I went to my local MAC counter here in Texas. I have to say some of the colors were beautiful and I had to try!

As you can see the colors were nice. I even swatched them with out primer too! I did not swatch the lipglasses because they were just sheer colors, so I wasn’t much excited about those. My favorites from this collection was the Aquavert, club, and the Cakeshop shadestick. I just thought they were pretty shades of greens for a spring looking eye. As a result, I did purchase those items along with the grand duo in love rock. I know. . . I am bad girl but it was so pretty!!

But can you blame for this one above? I love it and you know what? I am definitely going to do a tutorial with these colors creating a nice spring eye look, so stay tuned and I will date this post with the video. Otherwise, visit my youtube channel later this week for the tutorial.

Beauty Pros: The sugar sweet collection was just that sweet. The colors were nice, soft, and subdued which makes them very wearable for day to day. I love the eyeshadows, and even the lipsticks too. The lipsticks were smooth and creamy. The false lashes were nice too, but I have tons of those.

Beauty Cons: I was not that excited about the lipglasses as I said before. There wasn’t that much color and for the price I may as well purchase a sheer gloss from a drugstore brand that is just as great. As far as the mineralized skinfinish. It’s cute, but if you already own one from the regular line you are not missing anything. Finally, the nail colors, I would pass too! You can find similar colors from OPI and china glaze for less the $11 per bottle.

Maybelline Stiletto Lash Mascara Review

Okay, I was browsing through my e-mail and came across an message from TotalBeauty.com showing their top 9 hottest product of the month and the Maybelline Stiletto Lash Mascara $7.49 came in a number 2 for the most review product. So, knowing myself, I had to check this out and purchase it. I love getting length to my lashes because they are very short, so I have and finally tired it out today. My thoughts?

Product Description:

This Ultimate Length Mascara give seductive length, a shiny patent finish, and it also strengthens and conditions the lash with provitiman B5. They recommend to curl your lashes before apply this product and also to apply as many coats until desired length is achieved, but make sure you don’t let it dry in between coats.

Beauty Pros: It does give nice length!!

Beauty Cons: If you have short and then lashes like I do the result will look thin and spikey. The brush is nothing amazing, but for the price it’s worth the purchase if you have a full lash line of lashes.
