Have your just recently purchased your favorite treatment mask and wondered to yourself, “how can I make this product last longer in order to stretch your valuable dollar?” I have on many occasions! Many women and men purchase masks and use way to much product on one single application as a result your dollar per use is extremely expensive, right? Well.. I am going to share with you a great tip you can use in order to get the most out of your expensive mask or any mask you use in order to save you some one!!
A long while ago I got a simple from Sephora of the GLAMGLOW Tingling & Exfoliating Mud Mask and tested it out at home. What intrigued me to try this mask out is the fact that it claimed to following to the skin:
- Leave the skin noticeably radiant and glowing
- It activates moisturizing collagen synthesis
- provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation
- Helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer.
- While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.
After reading that and seeing the reviews I had to sample this out! After one use I was impressed! My skin was so soft and smooth to the touch, radiant and the nastiness from my pores cleaned!! So I was convinced that I needed to have this in my skincare regimen. However, when I saw the price of $69….I was like OMG $69??? But… I need it! So I thought to my self humm.. If I apply this differently then my normal heavy handed way of digging my fingers into the jar and grabbing enough product for three faces for one single use…(Yes, I am guilty of doing that too) and use a different method of application I can stretch this expensive yet wonderful product much longer than 1 month due to my heavy handedness.
Thought… think about your last visit to have a facial completed at a day spa? When the esthetician apply a mask to your face he/she applied it on with a foundation like brush, right? They application was smooth and easily with that brush right? So why can we take that same method and use it at home with our own foundation brush? Tonight I just used that method using my foundation brush and let me tell you the product went on smoother, even and not over applied. As a result, I will be able to stretch my $69 dollar mask 2-3 months verses 1 month of use. This will also break down my price per usage to $2.88/use vs. $8.63/use. If you don’t have a foundation brush you can find many vegan friendly brush such as: SEPHORA COLLECTION Classic Foundation Brush #47, $25, Eco Tools Foundation Brush,$7.99, Sigma Beauty F60 Foundation Brush, $16 right at your finger tips.
So now when you complete your next at home mask treatment use this tip and I guarantee you the experience will be nice and your product will last much longer before you have to bite the bullet and purchase it again. I you would like to see a full review of the mask I mentioned in this post please leave me some below.
Until next time have a fabulous skincare day!
