Well. . . think about this I am a mom who spends time outdoors with my family playing games, biking and kayaking and such. Now when I am outdoors I do protect my skin with sunscreen, but for some reason as a result from being outdoors my body will get a gorgeous tan, but not my face? So for that reason I tend to play around with sunless tanners in order to get my face and neck to match my body. The sunless tanner I will be sharing with you is the TEMPTU Summer Skin 3-Step AIR pod™ Tanning Collection ($110 Value) Summer Skin 3-Step AIR pod Tanning Collection, for $75. If you already own a Temptu airbrush system you can use the kit with it. Now what is according to Temptu: Summer Skin 3-Step AIR pod™ Tanning Collection ($110 Value) What it is: A three-step self-tanning kit. What it is formulated to do: Now their easy-to-use technology is available in a sunless tanning product that delivers perfect results. This set contains: 0.41 oz AIR pod™ Tan Prep 0.41 oz AIR pod™ Face Tan 0.28 oz AIR pod™ Bronzer What it is formulated WITHOUT: Parabens Sulfates Petrochemicals Phthalates GMOs - Triclosan What else you need to know: The TEMPTU AIR pod™ Tanning Collection is designed with naturally derived tanning agents and is enriched with antioxidant botanicals to create healthy-looking skin and the perfect tan. Note: Tanning pods differ from the TEMPTU makeup collection. These pods contain a valve plug that needs to be opened before use. Always replace the valve plug when application is complete. The kit comes with the TEMPTU AIR pod™ Tan Prep 0.41 oz, $30. This product is enriched with fruit enzymes to refine skin's texture and create a smooth canvas perfect for self-tanning. The ingredients are Salicylic acid, Aloe, and Citrus. Secondly, the kit comes with the TEMPTU AIR pod™ Face Tan 0.41 oz, $45. The gradual fan tan contains natural and pure melanin complex to deliver natural bronze, low-level DHA emulsion for gradual build. The ingredients in this product are Pure melanin, DHA and Chamomile Oil. Lastly the kit comes with an TEMPTU AIR pod™ Highlighter 303 Bronze, $35 that delivers and all day natural bronzed complexion with a sheer gold glow and shimmer. The ingredients in this one are water, dimethicone and silicone for a long lasting wear that moisturizes throughout the day. Now before you use any sunless tanner you will want to exfoliate your skin, I used the Clean & Clear Deep Action exfoliating scrub. By doing this step will help eliminate any uneven skin texture so you will end up with a smooth and unblotchy sunless tan. The next steps are recommend: Apply the face tan step in the same matter as the tan prep. However, after applying this step you will need to waut 10 minutes before applying your favorite serum and moisturizer. Apply the tan prep product all over your face, hairline, jawline, neck area and decolletage for a natural looking tan. After applying the tan prep wait 30 seconds before blotting off the excess and moving onto the gradual face tan step. Let your face tan absorb for 1 hour and after that hours or so you will reveal a smooth and golden tan. If you desire your tan to be darken simply repeat step 2. Otherwise you can move on to applying the bronzer or opt for makeup. In my case since my skin did tan I had to go a shade deeper in my Temptu foundation for a perfect match. So, keep that in consideration. Pros: The was very fast and easy to use The texture of the product are very light. The result of the tan was a natual brown looking tan. The kit can be purchased at Sephora You can purchase the products in the kit individualy is you run out of one item faster than the others. Cons: The price point of the Summer Skin kit is on the high end price of $75. I had to pull on the product inside th pod to get the product to flow. If you don't already own the The TEMPTU AIRbrush Makeup System you will have to splurge and additional $225 in order to use the summer skin kit. Overall, I feel the Summer Skin kit is a great system that offers a safe way for you to achieve a beautiful sun kissed skin without having to spend hours in the sun damaging your skin and causign premature again, hyperpigmentation, or even something as serious as skin cancer. If you are looking for a sunless tanning system I would truly recommend this system is you already own the temptu system and love it like I do.
