Illamasqua’s Nail Varnish: Nomad

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.

If you haven’t seen my previous post “Obsessed: Illamasqua’s Nail Varnishes for Spring” you all know that I am currently obsessed with Illamasqua’s Nail Varnishes!! Well, from that post I decided to play around with one of the new shades from my spring/summer nail polish haul called Nomad. This color is described as a bright jade with a glossy finish which is true!

002 new2

nomad front back 1a

Pros:

  • True to color with I high shiny finish.
  • Only require two coats to achieve a color intensity.
  • .5 fl oz. of polish

Cons:

  • The price is $17 per bottle, so kind of pricey and worth it!!
  • The square top can make it difficult to polish if you are used to polishing your nails with a skinny or cylinder top.

Have any of you tried any Illamsqua’s nail varnishes? What are you favorite shades?? Likes or dislikes? Please share by leaving your comments below. And….if you would like for me to film a video review on my  youtube channel please let me know! Until next time have a great day!!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.

Have you ever wanted to wear the latest color trend Emerald, however you are too afraid that you will end up looking like the incredible hulk sporting that trend? Well today I am going to share with you 10 different ways you can wear Emerald and look fabulous. The first thing you will want to remember is when wearing a statement color try breaking up the color up into statement pieces in your current wardrobe! For example:

Wearing Emerald Trend Through Makeup:

  1. Light up your beautiful eyes with SEPHORA+PANTONE UNIVERSE Graphic Sculpt Waterproof Jumbo Eyeliner in Emerald. Adding a simple pop of emerald to the lash line is a  great way to turn your everyday neutral eye into a trendsetting look.
  2. If you are bold and love to play with color on your eyes then turn up the volume with SEPHORA+PANTONE UNIVERSE Color Theory Shadow Block – Elemental Emerald Shimmer, Appleblossom, Camel. I personally love this palette and own it! If you would like to see a tutorial on my youtube channel please leave your feedback by commenting to this blog post below.
  3. If you are not one to rock eye shadows you can also wear this trend on your nails and toes. Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Rampage will look so cute and chic! I also have this one…Lately I am obsessed with Ilamasqua’s nail varnish, however that would be another blog post and youtube video in itself. If you would like to see swatches of this one let me know!

Emerald COY 2013a

Wearing Emerald through Clothing & Accessories:

  1. If you are the fashionista and must have an article of clothing to sport this trend try adding a beautiful blazer like the Olivia Moon Linen Jacket shown above. This really takes the outfit from cute to fabulous in seconds!
  2. Are you shoe obsessed! Look at these cute and feminine heels by Steven by Steve Madden called ‘Ravesh’. I would love to have these in my closet!! How about you?
  3. How about adding a classic shaped handbag by MICHAEL Michael Kors. The ‘Selma – Large’ Leather Satchel is gorgeous!!
  4. Wearing earrings in the trend color of the year is another great way of wearing the trend without going overboard. Try  Tory Burch’s Logo Stud Earrings. Don’t you just love Tory Burch??
  5. How about some arm candy with these cute Cara Crystal Friendship Bracelet in a Green Multi/Gold setting. I totally want to purchase a few of these myself. I love the look of these types of friendship bracelet accessorized with my Michael Kors watch.
  6. Now, if you love wearing different colored watches try the Fossil ‘Retro Traveler’ Crystal Bezel Bracelet Watch in green.
  7. Lastly, to keep the sun out of your eyes fashionable eyes have some fun with these cute MARC BY MARC JACOBS Oversized Retro Sunglasses.

I hope that you found some of these tips and ideas helpful.  If you would like to see more post like this one in the future or swatches of the nail polish and eye shadows from this post please leave me some feedback by leaving comments below!

Bare Escentuals: My Foundation Routine

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.

Hello beauties!! I am so glad to be here today sharing another video with you all! Thank you so much for your wonderful response on my holiday makeup 2011: classic smoky eye tutorial!! I am so glad you all liked it and that some of you are going to even try it for your next holiday event which is fabulous!!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my new foundation routine for the moment of course (I can't stick to one foundation for too long, lol). For the past month I have been wearing the Bare Escentuals/ Bare Minerals foundation. You are probably thinking, what? Bare Minerals??? Yes, I decided to get back on the Bare Minerals band wagon since my skin is so tired of wearing liquid and cream foundations for the moment. Lately I just wanted to give my skin a break and wear something that is light weight and powder like and Bare Minerals was the one for right now. I am using the original formula foundation that goes on like a powder, but has a dewy finish like liquid foundation. If you have oily skin they now make a Matte formula too!

A while back and I mean a while back I tired bare minerals and I was always matched with either Tan or Dark and neither color matched my skin. One was too red and the other was must too dark for my yellow/olive skin. So since they now have this new shade Golden Tan I can now have a close match. I still have to manipulate the finish a little bit around the forehand and contours of my face with bronzer to get the perfect finish since my forehead is a little darker than the rest of my face. The bronzer I use for that is either NARS casino or MAC bronzer in Bronze.

I have notice that after wearing the bare minerals my skin is clearing from the breakouts I was experiencing from wearing liquid foundations and not sticking to my night time cleansing routine too. (Working late makes a lazy Tasha, lol) Anyway, in the video below I will be sharing with you what I use with the bare Minerals in order to create my flawless face routine. Do any of you use the Bare Minerals? If so, what do you like about it or not like about it? Let me know by leaving your comment below. Until then enjoy the video!!

Happy Holidays,

Tasha :)
