Benefit Cosmetics: Girl Meets Pearl Review

Oh yes! It is time to share with you my thoughts on this amazing product I purchased from Sephora a few months ago. What I picked up was Benefit cosmetic’s Girl Meets Pearl. What is it well. . . It is a beautiful product you can use to highlight your complexion with or better yet if you want an all over glow you can mix it into your favorite liquid or cream foundation. Yes!! Glowing complexions are the thing and will be more the thing this summer with the bronzed and glowy skin trend that will come back for another season.

What inspired this purchase was a video I was watching on youtube and yes I do watch other amazing  beauty enthusiast myself. The video that inspired me the most was Michael’s (AKA The Sublime Agent on YouTube)  "Glow From Within A Luminous Makeup Look". He created a fabulous instructional video on how to create glowing skin during the video he use a illuminizer by Illamasqua and mixed it into his cream foundation. The result was beautiful and I wanted in! Now Illamasqua’s products are great but I did not find the right illuminator for my skintone. So after searching Benefit Cosmetic's Girl Meets Pearl Golden Pink was the winner. The tone was perfect for my yellow undertoned complexion, so hence I purchased it and love it so much.

What they say about Girl Meets Pearl, $30:

What it is:
A soft, golden pink, liquid-pearl highlighter.

What it does:
This sheer, light-reflecting formula glides on smoothly for a breathtakingly luminous complexion.

What else you need to know:
Includes skin-soothing raspberry and chamomile.

Overall thoughts, I trully love this products to use as a luminizer. You can use it to highlight your checkbone and the bridge of your nose or for more fabulousness you can use it and mix it into your foundation for the beautiful all over glowing skin. Have you tried this product? What are you thoughts on this one here, please share by leaving your comments below. Well. .  until next time stay fabulous my beauties!!

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray Primer: I wanted To Like It, But. .

Today I am giving you all my official review of Benefit's Stay Don't Stray shadow and concealer primer. You all may have seen me use this product is a few of my most recent tutorials and at that time I liked it, but now I know why I don't LOVE it. Before I talk about the why. . . Let me tell you what they say this product will do for you:

What they say about this product:

What it is: A 360 degree primer for concealers and eyeshadows.

What it does: Tell your eye makeup to stay, don't stray! This dual-action primer works 360 degrees around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadows REALLY stay put. Concealers never crease and eyeshadows stay vibrant and true…you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!

What else you need to know: Stay Don't Stray preps, protects, AND perfects! Preps: The lightweight formula blends seamlessly into skin, brightens eye area to minimize the appearance of fine lines, and comes in a universally flattering nude shade.

Protects: Hydrates with sodium hyaluronate to lock in moisture, fights signs of aging with Vitamins C & E, and is paraben-free. Perfects: It's long-wearing to keep makeup looking fresh, locks on ALL concealers & eyeshadows and prevents creasing of eye makeup.

What I liked about it is that the product helps brighten the eye area to minimize the appearance of fine lines and the color was in a universal nude shade that was great for evening out the eyelid area is your eyelid was discolored. I also like that the product help hydrate with the sodium hyaluronate and it helped fight signs of aging with vitamin C & E, but. . . The thing that let me down was the creasing or fraying that occurred throughout my 8 hour work day!!

If you have seen my most recent tutorial "Kim Kardashian inspired makeup tutorial" you may have noticed that I applied this primer on my lid and I usually apply my primer on very lightly just so I don't overuse the product, right? Well, I let the primer set for a minute on my eyelid and let me tell you before I even applied any eyeshadow on the primer itself was creasing!! OMG! I have never had any primer do this to me before until now. Don't get me wrong, I truly love Benefit cosmetics, but this is one product I do not like. I wish Benefit would bring back the original primer FYI, that product was awesome!!

So my Chameleons if you were thinking that this primer was my new favorite let me be the first to tell you I am running back to and purchasing my professional sized primer potion right now! Urban Decay Primer Potion to me is the best primer ever!!

Question for you? What is your favorite primer? Please share I would love to know!!
