At the suggestion of a BE technie, I tried the matte formula, and suddenly I was golden (ha ha). The matte was less light reflective, allowing my skin to peek through, complemented by the BE powder foundation. I also tried Golden Dark thinking that I would migrate to that color with sun exposure. I never did (at least that year), but the Golden Dark looked fabulous (to other people). It wasn't me. I looked like I'd gotten some sun, so I looked more healthy. I have normal, not oily skin, but the matte didn't ashen my face.
